Foodies in Werribee are in for a treat next month as the eat.drink.westside festival takes place.
There will be 20 events in Wyndham and around West Melbourne as part of this year’s Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Werribee residents can enjoy three events on their doorstep, including one of the festival’s popular longest lunches.
The lunch includes a four-course meal created by local chefs for diners who sit at one long outdoor table. The Werribee event is one of 24 lunches that will take place on Friday, March 4 and will be held at Shadowfax Winery in Werribee Park.
On Saturday, March 5 the park will be the venue for a lunch made by the head chef of Bursaria, paired with Shadowfax Wines. Both the chef and the winemaker will be on hand to discuss the menu.
Lastly, on Sunday, March 6 the focus will be on local produce with the ‘Forage a Trois’ cheer and cider festival. Artisan producers will set up stalls giving visitors the chance to taste before they buy. The event will also include demonstrations and live music.
The festival is currently being promoted online and in social media, as well as with Brochures and guides in local newspapers.
Full programme details can also be found on the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival website. The Festival runs from Friday, March 4 to Sunday, March 13.
