Free event for the young at heart near Werribee

The Wyndham Seniors Expo will be held at Hoppers Crossing at the end of next month.

The popular event is designed to give seniors and carers an opportunity to explore the range of relevant services that are available in the local community, including the Werribee area.

Various stalls will be at the event with information covering aids and equipment, health, technology, leisure activities and financial assistance, as well as other areas of interest to seniors and their carers.

Stallholders will likely use brochure printing to give visitors information about their services. Several talks will also be held during the day, investigating topics such as aged care and carer support services. One presentation will be on confident living, which will cover topics such as elder abuse and safety issues. A kiosk will be available for visitors to purchase food and drinks.

The Wyndham Seniors Expo is run by the Wyndham City Council, which is responsible for Wyndham Vale, an area bordered by the Werribee River, Heaths Road, Black Forest Road, and Manor Lakes. The area has a population of over 290,000.

The Wyndham Seniors Expo will be held on Tuesday November 28th at the Encore Events Centre, located at 80 Derrimut Road in Hoppers Crossing. It will begin at 10am and conclude at 3pm, and entry to the event is free.
