Chance for pet-related businesses to promote themselves in Werribee

There are just a few weeks left for Werribee companies and community groups to apply to be part of one of the area’s major annual events.

The Wyndham Pet and Animal Expo is a popular feature on the calendar and will be held at the Werribee Civic Centre again this year.

Last year, more than 6,000 people attended the event and in 2015 the council is hoping it will be even more of a success.

Among the activities on offer this year will be face painting, a petting zoo, dog obedience displays and pet displays including cats, dogs and rabbits.

There will also be a chance to learn more about looking after pets responsibly, and visitors will be able to get their pets microchipped and registered on the day.

The council is also inviting animal-related enterprises, pet organisations and community groups to take part in the expo. Selling and promoting products and services is allowed, but exhibitors should also provide a way of engaging with visitors such as with a demonstration or interactive exhibit.

Businesses and groups taking part might like to think about using flyer printing, to create promotional leaflets to hand out to the crowd.

Organisations wanting to exhibit need to make an application by Friday, June 19th in order to be considered. This year’s expo will take place on Sunday September 27th from 10am to 3pm.
