A pre-Christmas trip to see The Wiggles live is top of many preschoolers’ to-do list, and there is still time for Richmond families to get their tickets for the Melbourne shows.
This year the much-loved group has revamped its live performance to include two special shows staged on giant inflatable sets.
The first half will feature many of the group's well-known hits such as ‘Hot Potato’ and ‘Rockabye Your Bear’, as well as newer favourites from the most recent television series. As well as the four Wiggles – Anthony, Simon, Lachy and Emma – loveable characters Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword will also appear on stage.
Younger audience members could use banner printing or make large Signs to send a message to their favourite Wiggle on stage.
After the interval, the audience can join Emma on a pantomime adventure in CinderEmma in a reselling of the classic fairytale with a Wiggles twist.
The shows will feature a range of dance styles including Irish dancing and ballet, and the dance troupe will include some local youngsters selected following video auditions.
The Wiggles will be performing at the Rod Laver Arena on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, with one show on the Friday evening and two shows on the Saturday. To book tickets visit The Wiggles' official website.
