Richmond gallery welcomes artistic duo

A two-man team of artists are exhibiting their work for the first time at a respected art gallery in Richmond this year.

Art enthusiasts in Richmond can attend an upcoming exhibition taking place in the suburb this autumn that offers them a chance to connect with its creators. The gallery show is entitled “BBQ” and features the art of Stephen Brameld and Jay Staples.

Artists across Australia sometimes depend on professional full-service Print shops for colour reproductions of their pieces to sell online or include inside their portfolios when seeking to submit work.

Self-taught artists, Brameld and Staples are based in Western Australia and have a unique approach to art. Together, they work simultaneously on the same piece until they arrive at mutual point of recognition that it is complete. Working in a range of different mediums their art includes video, sculpture and painting.

Stephen Brameld and Jay Staples’ BBQ will now make its debut at the Lennox Gallery from Wednesday April 1 to Saturday, April 25. The gallery is located at 322-324 Lennox Street in Richmond, and the show is open Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm and between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturdays.

On Saturday, April 11, the gallery is also offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy a drink with the artists from 2 pm to 4 pm.
