Scottish band to rock Richmond

An indie rock band from West Lothian, Scotland are set to play Richmond as part of their Australian tour.

Promoted by Frontier Touring, Scotland’s rising rock stars The Snuts will be performing live on stage at the Corner Hotel in Richmond this August. The headline show is one of three Australian tour dates which also include playing at The Zoo in Brisbane and the popular Manning Bar in Sydney. Tour promoters sometimes contact expert printing services to create branded promotional items they can distribute to fans like T-Shirts and keychains.

The Snuts formed in 2015 and have performed across the UK and Ireland. The group features Jack Cochrane on lead vocals and guitar and Joe McGillveray on lead guitar. Callum '29' Wilson plays bass while Jordan 'Joko' Mackay is on drums. The band came together when its members were still in school.

The band cite Arctic Monkeys and the Libertines as influences and before achieving success, all members practiced a trade or were studying for one. While Cochrane worked as a joiner, Wilson was a roofer and slater, McGillveray got qualifications to become a stonemason and Mackay was a mechanic.

The Snuts will be at the Corner Hotel on Saturday, August 12. The hotel is based at 57 Swan Street in Richmond; the gig will kick off at 8.30pm and end at 11pm.
