Richmond to hear heavy metal rock icons

A concert featuring a line-up of three international metal bands is coming to a renowned Richmond venue later this year.

Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Richmond will extend a warm welcome to three epic heavy metal acts for a night of guitar music this spring. American nu metal legends Korn will be heading up a powerhouse show with support from special guests.

Promoters of tours featuring multiple bands sometimes look to specialist poster printing services to create eye-catching advertisements that showcase all acts involved.

Formed in California’s Bakersfield back in 1993, Korn (stylised as KoЯn) earned acclaim as pioneers of the nu metal music genre and for bringing it to mainstream attention. While the band has experienced multiple changes in personnel, the latest edition features vocalist Jonathan Davis, drummer Ray Luzier, bassist Arvizu and guitarists Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch.

While known as nu metal champions, Korn have also been labelled as a rap rock, heavy metal, funk metal, rap metal, hard rock, grunge and groove metal band. The band will be accompanied by Gojira, a heavy metal band from the Ondres commune in France, and Canadian metal outfit Spiritbox from Victoria, British Columbia.

The three bands will now play live on stage at MCG on Saturday, November 16. The cricket ground is located on Brunton Avenue in Richmond.
