Following on from the cancellation of last year’s planned event, the Melbourne International Singers Festival is set to return and thrill Richmond music lovers with the country’s most exciting festival for choirs and singers.
Currently in its 11th year, this year’s festival is set to take place over two days and will feature a more diverse programme than ever before. Taking its cues from the many challenges the world currently faces, the festival has selected the central theme of “Home” as the inspiration behind the many vocal delights being delivered throughout the event.
Joining the festival line-up is Dr Nela Trifkovic, a renowned Bosnian-Australian artist who is set to lead the Women’s Festival Chorus, and Patrick Burns, an award-winning conductor who will lead the Men’s Festival Chorus. Musical and choral festivals such as this event can benefit from poster printing for promotional purposes.
Offering an eclectic array of musical styles, performances in this year’s festival will encompass everything from gospel and opera to contemporary and rock, along with many more styles. Also featuring vocal workshops with some of Australia’s leading choral conductors, it is an event that will have much to offer.
The Melbourne International Singers Festival is scheduled for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, running from Saturday, June 12 to Sunday, June 13 at The Dock, Victoria Harbour Promenade. Spaces are limited, and bookings via the Play It Forward website are essential.
