Richmond music fans to hear American hardcore

A post hardcore band Washington, USA will soon make their Australian debut with a spring tour that includes an appearance in Richmond.

Unwound, the post punk band from Tumwater and Olympia, Washington will be arriving in Richmond in springtime. A headline band from the famous Kill Rock Stars record label in the 90s, they have never stopped recording and touring since they formed. They have worked with many different labels over the years including Troubleman Unlimited, Matador, Gravity, Honeybear, Numero and Punk in My Vitamins?

Richmond’s popular Corner Hotel has booked them to appear this September with a show suited to those aged 18 and over only. Venues hosting gigs that have age restrictions sometimes employ banner printing services to create custom signage that displays entrance eligibility to potential ticket buyers.

Last year Unwound played sold-put shows when they toured the US and performed a live set at the Spanish music festival Primavera Sound Barcelona. Fans attending the group’s Australian debut will get a chance to hear them play tracks which may include classic like “Lucky Acid”, “Ratbite”, and “Pure pain Sugar”, among many others.

Unwound will be live on stage at the Corner Hotel on Saturday, September 21 at 20.30 pm. The hotel can be found on Swan Street in Richmond and tickets are $77.20 per person.
