Business owners in Richmond are invited to a networking session with a difference in October.
A speed-networking event is being held to give local entrepreneurs the chance to meet and form new relationships in a relaxed environment.
The event is part of Yarra Council’s Networking @6 initiative, which aims to bring informal networking to the area. It will be run by career management specialist Marina Pitisano, who has developed many networking groups and is part of the BNI Melbourne business referral programme.
The quickfire nature of the event makes it a good place for new business owners to start networking, as they will have a chance to meet a number of people in one evening, and it means that nervous speakers will not have to talk for long.
Participants will need to be prepared to give a short explanation of their business and what they do. They should also make sure they have made an order for business card printing to ensure they create a great first impression.
Around 40 people will be able to take part in the evening, and the event is open to company bosses from across Yarra City, making it a good opportunity to meet people from across the region.
The session will be held at Richmond Town Hall on Wednesday, October 8th, starting at 6pm. Tickets can be booked through Yarra City Council.
