A respected Richmond music venue will be welcoming a venerable musician to its stage later this year.
Richmond music fans will rejoice this November as the legendary James Reyne is arriving in town to perform at the popular Corner Hotel. In a show for those aged 18 and above, the celebrated Australian musician will be playing hits from his solo career along with songs from his time with Australian Crawl.
Music venues presenting shows that have age restrictions often rely on experienced banner printing services to create branded signage displaying who is eligible for admission.
Born in Nigeria, Reyne is an Australian of English descent, who moved to the state of Victoria in 1959. After studying drama, he formed the band Spiff Rouch, and later Clutch Cargo Services with David Reyne, his younger brother. The band was renamed “Australian Crawl” which is when Reyne rose to fame as a vocalist.
Gaining popularity in the local pub scene, the band later made their TV debut on Countdown, which saw Reyne perform with his arms in plaster following an injury. In the ‘80s, the band enjoyed critical success with hits like “Reckless” and “Beautiful People”.
James Reyne will now play a live set at the Corner Hotel on Monday, November 6. The Richmond hotel is situated at 57 Swan Street, and the gig will begin at 8.30pm.
