The workshops are a joint initiative of Small Business Victoria and the City of Whitehorse.
According to Councillor Bill Bennett, the workshops have been organised to benefit people from Mitcham, Nunawading and throughout the City who own a small company or are considering starting one.
He said the aim is to provide advice and the right tools to help achieve business success, including advertising techniques and the use of marketing services.
Cr. Bennett said the workshops will cover a range of topics, including Starting Your Business Right and Business Planning Essentials, and that a business plan was the first step in getting a business off the ground and giving it the necessary preparation for success.
Council, he added, is strongly committed to helping each business, owners and staff, achieve this goal. He went on to explain:
“A clear business plan is a key determinant of long-term business success. These workshops are part of the practical and popular opportunities we host each year to help businesses flourish.”
He said the workshops provided an ideal opportunity to gain the support, templates and tools to fast-track success in business.
The Business Planning Essentials workshop will be held at Whitehorse Civic Centre next Tuesday, June 27, 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
