An event that combines an opportunity to swap items of clothing with a talk on taking an eco-friendlier approach to fashion is being held at a performing arts venue in Nunawading this year.
Nunawading residents looking to update their current wardrobes can join a session headed for the suburb this spring. Entitled “Clothes Swap & Slow Fashion Talk”, the event is operated by Sustainable Whitehorse and lets attendees exchange their current clothing without buying brand-new items.
Organisers of environmentally friendly initiatives often work with forward-thinking Print shops that offer the option to choose recycled paper for adverts like Posters and Flyers that invite public attendance.
Those joining the session can bring up to eight quality preloved items to swap for eight garments that are new to them, helping to reduce waste and save money. Attendees who drop off items during the designated early drop-off window will also get a chance to sit in on a short talk by slow fashion advocate Jenna Flood. She will be offering actionable advice on creating an ethical wardrobe and spotting greenwashing while avoiding fast fashion.
Clothes Swap & Slow Fashion Talk will now take place at The Round on Saturday 14 November. The cultural centre can be found at 379 to 399 Whitehorse Road in Nunawading, and the event starts at 10 am and ends at 12.30 pm.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters Get a Free Quote for Print
