A famous Australian singer and instrumentalist will be stopping by Mitcham with a new show for children.
In a show packed with puppetry and music, celebrated kids’ entertainer Colin Buchanan will be performing at a venue in Mitcham. Those hosting events from music and theatre to comedy and club nights often use poster printing services to create adverts that encourage attendance.
The upcoming show will feature Buchanan’s award-winning music and the antics of Nudge the puppet, a kids’ entertainment favourite.
Buchanan grew up in Melbourne and Sydney, and later moved with his wife to the Outback, where he stayed in Bourke and Grenfell. His career has seen him win a total of nine Golden Guitars at Australia’s Country Music Awards. He has also won APRA awards and been nominated for ARIA awards.
The song the artist is particularly renowned for is the Christmas classic “Aussie Jingle Bells”, which has become favoured by schools across Australia and is often performed at concerts at the end of each year. From 1992 to 1999, Buchanan presented Play School on ABC and has made appearances on PlayHouse Disney, a collaboration between the Disney Channel and Seven Network in Australia.
Colin Buchanan and Nudge will perform at the Mitcham Baptist Church at 8-12 Simla Street, Mitcham on Saturday, March 26. The show will start at 5 pm and end at 5.45 pm.
