Mitcham offers feast of festive activities

Eastland Shopping Centre, near Mitcham, will be hosting a number of Christmas experiences for the whole family in the leadup to Christmas.

A multitude of events will be taking place, including the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Eastland, Moonlit Markets featuring creations from local craftspeople, Kids’ Valley with arts and crafts for the children, and culminating with the broadcasting of Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve, in the Town Square.

Santa’s Grotto will be open for children to meet Santa and have their photos taken with him. They will also have the opportunity, if they wish, to post their letters to Santa in the special mailbox. Sensitive Santa provides a calm, quiet environment for children with special needs to meet with Santa without stress.

Vision Australia’s production of Carols by Candlelight will be broadcast on Christmas Eve on a large screen in the Town Square, live from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with candles on sale for those desiring them. Proceeds of the sale of the candles will go to Vision Australia to assist with their efforts working with children dealing with blindness or vision impairment.

It is possible that poster printing and Flyers will advertise the events taking place, which will be taking place right through to Saturday 24th December from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
