Mitcham music fans to hear US alt-rock

An alternative rock band from America will be playing a gig in Melbourne later this year.

Music devotees in Mitcham can see New York alt-rockers Blonde Redhead this winter when they play live in Melbourne. The trio will be performing on stage at a local popular venue in June for a show presented by Mistletone and RISING.

Show promoters often work with skilled flyer printing services that can design and supply engaging adverts that inform the public of local concerts.

Formed in 1993, Blonde Redhead features Kazu Makino on lead vocals rhythm guitar and keyboards, and twin siblings Amedeo Pace on lead guitar, keyboards and bass, with Simone on drums and keyboards.

In 2023, the band returned to the music scene with their first new album in close to a decade. Dubbed “Sit Down for Dinner”, the recording has been hailed as their most welcoming and warmest to date.

While the group’s earliest albums were known for their notes of noisy rock, by the 2000s, their sound became infused with dream pop and shoegaze genres. In contrast, the latest recording has a tinge of 1970s gold.

Blonde Redhead will be on stage at the Forum Melbourne at 7pm on Friday, 14 June. The live music venue can be found based at 154 Flinders Street in Melbourne.
