Music fans from Mitcham and the wider Melbourne area will soon get a chance to see pop-punk starlet Maggie Lindemann when she plays a gig at St Kilda’s Prince Bandroom in May. Local venues across Australia hosting acts from overseas often employ expert poster printing services to create attractive advertisements featuring images of bands and solo performers.
The Melbourne concert is the first in a trio of big shows for the American artist, who will also be playing live in Brisbane at The Triffid and Sydney’s Crowbar. The dates are designed to let Lindemann play hits from her successful debut studio album ‘Suckerpunch’, which was released last year.
Applauded for its striking vocals and versatility, the album offers fans and the singer-songwriter a chance explore new musical terrain, combining glam goth with hyper pop. Commenting on the recording, Lindemann said:
“When I listened to the album back from start to finish, I realized the entire thing was a sucker punch – for myself, for my fans – and I knew it had to be the title."
A style icon on social media, Lindemann is an artist and entrepreneur, amassing more than a billion streams over the past two years.
Maggie Lindemann will now play the Prince Bandroom at 29 Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, Melbourne on Thursday, May 4.
