Budding comedians will get a chance to learn new skills at an upcoming event in Melbourne in the new year.
From working comics seeking tips and tricks to those considering a career in the stand-up scene, all levels of comedians in Mitcham and the surrounds are invited to participate in a course taking place in Melbourne next February.
Roxy's Functions & Events will be hosting “Learn Stand Up Comedy” over five days and offering a chance for comics to try out their new skills on stage.
Comedy clubs and other venues on the stand-up circuit often rely on dedicated flyer printing services to create attractive leaflets that call members of the public to attend shows.
The course takes place over five evenings and includes a copy of the Hard Knock Knocks comedy manual, along with a year’s worth of access to the comedy course online of the same name. Those enrolling will also receive HD footage of their graduating performance, and a complete set of professional headshots to help them market their talent.
Comics will also gain access to the largest community of stand-up comedians to help them get gigs in comedy rooms around the capital.
The Learn Stand Up Comedy course will be taught at Roxy's Functions & Events from February 18 to February 22. The venue is sited at 2 Alfred Place in South Melbourne and the course will start at 6.30pm each day.
