Australian rock band to play in Nunawading
Vintage rock music fans who appreciate good sounds might be keen to see the Kevin Borich Express (KBE) in April in Nunawading.
The KBE began life as the La De Da’s in New Zealand. Following this, Borich moved to Australia and began the KBE in the 1970s.
Since then, Borich has released a number of albums, and performed with iconic artists such as AC/DC, Elton John, Jeff Beck and Bo Diddley. Over the years, there has been a change in line-up, with the current incarnation being Chris Gilbert (bass and vocals), Kevin Borich (guitar and vocals), Jon Carson (drums and vocals), and occasionally, Borich’s son, Lucius, on drums and vocals.
The latest album is called Duets and was released in 2023. Supporting artists include Leo Sayer and Joe Walsh (from The Eagles), among others, ensuring that Duets has a unique and highly individual sound. KBE will likely be playing old favourites in Nunawading, as well as some choice tracks from Duets.
A recent review concluded:
Where bands are playing, there is often the opportunity for fans to buy promotional products for fans to keep as merchandise.
Kevin Borich Express will be playing at the Burvale Hotel in Nunawading on 12 April, at 8.30 pm. Tickets cost $39.80.
