Revered Australian pop idol to appear in Melbourne CBD

One of the most beloved female singers of recent times is going to be playing three nights at a venue in Melbourne CBD later this February.

Kylie Minogue made her well-known acting debut in the Australian soap, Neighbours, in, 1986. She played the role of Charlene for two years, starting her pop career towards the end of that decade.

Originally known for “bubble-gum pop”, Minogue has shifted genres over the years as she was able to gain more control of her output after her original successes. The so-called Princess of Pop has also gained recognition as a style icon. She currently has four Brit Awards, two Grammy Awards and 18 ARIA Music Awards to her credit.

The playlist for the tour will almost certainly include items from Minogue’s vast back catalogue, such as I Should Be So Lucky and Can’t Get You out of My Head – the latter of which sold five million Copies and has been her most successful single to date.

Promotional Products such as T-Shirts, Posters and baseball caps are often on sale at concert venues, as fans like to have mementoes of their attendance.

Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour will be taking place at the Rod Laver Arena, which can be found at 200 Batman Avenue in Melbourne. Dates run from Thursday, 20 until Saturday, 22 February. Entrance is from 7.30pm each day, and tickets cost from $99.90.
