National Print Awards announcing their Greatest Hits

In October 2011 the winners of the Victorian Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICA) were announced at the Sofitel in Melbourne. The next stage of the recognition will be The 29th National Print Awards, which will be held on Friday 20th of April 2012 at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown. The theme for 2012 is “Celebrating our Greatest Hits”.

The National Print Awards website, www.nationalprintawards.com.au, is this year filled with puns based on chart topping hit song titles:

“This year’s chart-topping jobs, produced by a total of 182 groups and individual artists around the country, have been judged against the most exacting standards by a panel of industry gurus in Melbourne in December 2011 before being included in this year’s Greatest Hits compilation” declares the website.

The gold PICA winners of each category, which include awards for brochure printers and Stationery printing as well as many others, were automatically entered into the National Print Awards competition. The judging panel decided the winners in December of last year and they will be announced at the Presentation Dinner at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown, where the puns are likely to keep on coming, even while celebrating the winners.

“A highlight of the annual graphic arts calendar, the Dinner is a chance to recognise those whose creativity, commitment and dedication have marked them as simply the best in the industry and, just as importantly, to celebrate good times with colleagues and friends, whether you’re leaving with a pocket full of gold or nothing more than brass in pocket” says the website.
