Melbourne residents to enjoy candlelight musical tribute

Fans of the American songstress Taylor Swift in Melbourne CBD will be able to enjoy a tribute to the renowned singer next month at a candlelight string quartet-based event.

The Invictus Quartet will be playing Swift’s popular songs, which will include, amongst others, Shake It Off and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. The Invictus Quartet formed whilst at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2017 and has received international acclaim, competing in Salzburg Austria and Fort Worth, Texas. In 2018, the Quartet also performed in Singapore at the home of the Australian High Commissioner during the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Tour. Event promoters will use local Print shops for printing Posters so that residents are drawn to attend events.

Although Swift began her career as a country and folk singer, her prolific output over the years has crossed many musical genres. Swift is one of the best-selling musicians worldwide, and her concerts are widely anticipated, selling out very quickly. She has donated large sums of money to charities and organisations such as The Tennessee Tornado Relief Fund and the Houston Food Bank.

The event will take place at the Atheneaum Theatre, 188 Collins Street, Melbourne on Friday, 3rd June, at 6.30 pm, with a second concert at 8.30 pm. Each concert lasts approximately one hour. Tickets are priced from $58 and seating is unallocated.
