The Holey Cheese Festival is underway in Melbourne. Cheese aficionados are invited to the Melbourne CBD to taste samples of the finest hard, soft, blue, white, aged rind and fresh cheese.
Market traders and local producers will serve up their delicious cheese on a rotating basis. The celebration of all things fromage will include an extensive range of offerings including gouda, goat, cheddar, camembert, roquefort and raclette.
The festival will also host pop-up food stalls offering more substantial cheese-inspired fare. Thirsty visitors can enjoy refreshing local brews from Brick Land Brewing Co and Coldstream Cider, as well as wine from Mitchelton in Nagambie.
The event will also host cooking demonstrations, live music sets and roving entertainment. Events like this are often promoted using banner, poster and flyer printing.
Saturday’s programme includes Mozzarella demonstrations and presentations that will showcase goat cheese and Spanish Manchego cheese. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night’s event will finish off on a high with a jazz band, festival bar and more cheese.
The Holey Cheese Festival will run from 23rd October through until Sunday 28th October. Entry to the event in Deli lane at the Queen Victoria Market on the corner of Elizabeth and Victoria Streets is free and public transport is available. Further details can be found on the Queen Victoria Market website.
