Hit UK singer to play large venue in Melbourne CBD

The Rod Laver Arena is playing host to songsmith James Blunt in November, for the joy of his fans in and around Melbourne CBD.

Blunt will be appearing on a headline tour to promote his latest album after a six-year break from the industry.

Known for his self-deprecating wit and large online following, Blunt has been performing ever since he left the British Army in 2002. The release of his debut album Back to Bedlam in 2004 spawned the ubiquitous hit, You’re Beautiful, which reached the top of the singles chart in 13 countries.

With the release of his seventh album, Who We Used to Be in 2023, Blunt allegedly announced the supporting tour while sitting in a bath. He then proceeded to announce the first single release, Beside You, while locked in a cupboard.

Blunt has raised funds for the charity Médecins Sans Frontières and also supports environmental charities, planting a tree for all advance ticket sales through his official website.

As part of the concert-going experience, fans will no doubt be keen to buy Promotional Products, which will be on sale at the venue.

James Blunt, The Who We Used to Be Tour, will be appearing at the Rod Laver Arena, which can be found at 200 Batman Avenue in Melbourne. The concert will take place on Sunday, 24 November at 7pm. Tickets cost from $109.90. Support is to be provided by the Pierce Brothers.
