Fans of the bard in for an outdoor treat

The Australian Shakespeare Company is staging an outdoor version of Romeo and Juliet in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Shakespeare fans in the Melbourne CBD district will no doubt be keen to sign up for an outdoor production of the great, tragic love story in February and March. Local Print shops are often engaged to produce marketing material to advertise events within the community.



Probably the most famous love story ever written, young star-crossed lovers from the opposing Montague and Capulet families risk their entire lives to be together. Passionate and intense, this energetic production, directed by Glenn Elston, meshes a beautiful location with a Bollywood-style banquet to create a truly special, inspirational performance. The Australian Shakespeare Company is a key player in presenting accessible versions of Shakespeare plays and other classics in Australia and in bringing the bard to youngsters as part of the Young Bards education programme.


Romeo and Juliet – Shakespeare Under the Stars takes place from Friday 10th February until Saturday 11th March. The venue is Southern Cross Lawn, Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, South Yarra, VIC. Tickets cost from $60.50. Starting times vary, while the running time is two and a half hours, with a twenty-minute break.
