Exuberant pop icon to play in Melbourne

Fans of up-tempo exuberant pop in the Melbourne, CBD area may be keen to buy tickets for Lizzo live in concert in July. As the musical star she showcases her latest album “Special”, promoters of pop concerts such as this one may use local poster printing to advertise visiting artists within the community.

Melissa Viviane Jefferson (Lizzo) was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1988. Beginning her career as a rapper, Lizzo came to the wider public attention with the release of the album “Cuz I Love You” in 2019. Citing influences such as Missy Elliott and Beyonce, Lizzo’s music is a combination of soul, R&B and funk, with a healthy smattering of hip-hop. As a winner of awards such as Grammy Awards Record of the Year for “About Damn Time” in 2022 and People’s Choice Award People’s Champion, also in 2022, Lizzo is multi-faceted and not afraid to speak her mind on issues that she cares about.

On the Special Tour, Lizzo will be delighting audiences with her flamboyant style and the setlist is bound to include favourites such as “Juice”, “Truth Hurts” and “About Damn Time”.

Lizzo is appearing at the Rod Laver Arena, Batman Avenue and Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne, on both July 17 and July 18. Both concerts are due to begin at 7.30pm, with tickets costing from $139.90. Lizzo will be supported by Zimbabwean/Australian singer/songwriter Tkay Maidza.
