Beginner Kombucha brewing course to be held online

Laneway Learning, a non-profit organisation in the Melbourne CBD, is offering an online Kombucha brewing course for beginners this month.

This age-old fermented tea drink is becoming increasingly popular as a health trend and a beverage alternative. Enthusiasts now have an opportunity to learn everything about the art of brewing their own Kombucha.

The ‘Kombucha Basics: Brewing to Bottling’ workshop will be presented by Briony Kean, a Gut Health Coach who takes a holistic approach to wellness and health. Briony believes that cooking and eating should not be confusing but something enjoyable.

The course covers topics such as the history of Kombucha, the benefits of drinking it and techniques to create the perfect fizzy batch. The live course will be presented via Zoom and aims to be interactive and engaging. Participants are encouraged to have all their supplies ready and information regarding supplies can be found on its website.

Online courses often make use of graphic design to present slides and materials to participants in a logical and engaging manner.

Laneway Learning is unique in that its courses are run by everyday individuals within the community who wish to share their knowledge. The Kombucha Basics course will take place online on Tuesday 19th May from 7:45pm-9pm. The cost is $16, with registration and details on how to connect to the session available on its website.
