Arena stalwarts arriving in Melbourne

Beloved by many adoring fans, British pop rock band The 1975 are making a highly anticipated appearance to enthusiasts in the Melbourne CBD area. Often, supporters of bands are drawn to upcoming gigs such as this one due to the use of enticing Logo Design on Posters displayed in the locality.

Formed in Cheshire in 2002, The 1975 consists of lead vocalist Matty Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald and George Daniel on drums. The band’s self-titled first album was released in 2013, reaching the top of the UK Albums Chart. Four albums have followed with the latest, ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’, released towards the end of 2022. The music of the band has been described as electro, funk and indie with a peculiarly British vibe. Front man Matty is a charismatic performer with a hugely loyal fan-base; no doubt concert goers will be treated to renditions of much-loved singles ‘Chocolate’, ‘The Sound’ and ‘Somebody Else’.

The 1975 are appearing at the Rod Laver Arena, Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne VIC, 3001 on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th April. Tickets cost from $96.20. Rising indie star Wallice is supporting.
