Preparations are underway for the annual 2015 MS Walk and Fun Run in Melbourne, Victoria.
Organisers are urging families, friends and fitness fanatics to take part in a fun activity that will also help raise awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis.
The event will be held simultaneously at various venues in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. Poster and banner printing is underway to ensure all sites are highly visible.
Thousands of participants are expected to take part in the 5km or 10km walk around Albert Park Lake, both of which finish at Palms Lawn.
Those wishing to challenge themselves can also opt to walk at a faster pace using a chip timing system designed for professionals.
Entrants can chose to run or walk the course, and entry is free to MS sufferers.
All fitness levels and age groups will be catered for, with various courses presenting a range of challenges. Wheel chairs and strollers are welcome.
According to the event website, Melbourne runners and walkers competing on the day will also be eligible for fundraising prizes and awards, which will be presented for the MS Fun Run, MS Walk, Overall Fundraisers and various fundraising categories in Victoria.
The MS Walk Fun Run has developed into a popular family day out on the Melbourne calendar, and will this year be held on May 27th, which is World MS Day.
