40th anniversary tour to land in Melbourne CBD|

Post-punk fans who reside in the Melbourne CBD area will be pleased to learn that Glasgow band The Jesus and Mary Chain (JAMC) will be bringing their 40th Anniversary tour to Australia in August.

The JAMC is part of the fabric of British music history. Jim and William Reid began making their unique sound in the early 1980s. With a blend of raw emotion, intense melodies and brutal romance, the sound has gone on to influence the likes of Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine. And the outside band is very much regarded as one of the most notable acts of the contemporary music scene.

The new album, Glasgow Eyes, does not disappoint, with a blend of rock-electronica, mashed in an anarchic register. Also on the playlist, there are bound to be favourites such as Just Like Honey, April Skies and Upside Down. Ably supported by musician and multidisciplinary artist, Merryn Jeann, fans are certainly in for a treat. There will no doubt be an array of Promotional Products on sale at the venue, to further enhance the experience for those attendees who like to purchase souvenirs of an event.

Jesus and Mary Chain is appearing at The Forum, 154 Flinders Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 on Sunday 4th August at 7pm. Tickets cost $89.90. Support is provided by Merryn Jeann.
