This year, YouthFest will be held at a new venue in Greensborough.
YouthFest is a celebration of young people’s contribution to their community and culture. Every year, Banyule Youth Services works with young people that volunteer to help run the festival. During the event, attendees can expect to watch musicians from the local community perform and participate in various workshops and events.
The event is known to attract more than 3,000 people. Events for youths can be promoted via flyer printing, with Flyers placed in schools, local community centres, public libraries and recreation centres.
YouthFest is aligned to the objectives of Banyule Youth Services, which are to value, empower and interact with individuals aged between 12 to 25 years that live, attend school, work or socialise within the Banyule Community.
Those that want to get involved in the YouthFest are encouraged to contact the team at Jets Creative Studio, which is coordinating the event. The Jets Creative Studio, part of Banyule City Council Youth Services, is a facility for creative arts targeted at youths that provides a variety of activities and programs for those within and around the Banyule area.
The 2021 YouthFest will take place on Sunday, 12th September and it will be free entry for all. The venue will be the Top Carpark located in WaterMarc, which is located on 1 Flintoff Street.
