Frankie Valli and The Four seasons was formed in the 1960s. Known as a rock and roll/doo wop band, the group has had members come and go over the years, the one constant being Valli, who was there at the outset. Hits over the years have included “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)”, all of which reached Number One on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The Beach Boys was also formed in the 1960s. Originally consisting of three Wilson brothers, a cousin and a friend, the group was distinguished by vocal harmonies and quickly became an influential act that others have drawn on over the decades. Hit singles include “I Get Around”, “Help Me Rhonda” and “Good Vibrations”.
