Tribute to Bert Bacharach and Hal David in Greensborough

Music fans living in and around Greensborough will be keen to enjoy an evening inspired by the music of international vocalist Janet Ross-Fahy.

Fans of iconic popular music over the last few decades will no doubt be familiar with the work of composer and pianist Burt Bacharach and the lyricist Hal David who collaborated with a great deal of success over the years.

Janet Ross-Fahy is an Australian-born vocalist who has worked with many recording artists in genres such as pop, cabaret and musical theatre. Working with her band called Absolute, she is able to able pay homage to Bacharach and David, who are often cited as possibly the most influential popular song-makers of the twentieth century, with her new show Promises Promises.

Between Bacharach and David, they racked up three Academy Awards and six Grammy’s, with artists such as Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield and The Carpenters keen to deliver their work.

The play list for Promises Promises is bound to include classics such as Walk on By, What the World Needs Now and The Look of Love. Musical evenings are often advertised by the means of flyer printing, undertaken locally.

Promises Promises, the two-course dinner and show, featuring Janet Ross-Fahy and the Absolute Big Band, is taking place on Friday 22nd March, with doors opening at 6.30pm and dinner being served at 7pm, with the show starting at 8.30pm. Tickets cost $71.90 per person. The venue is Greensborough RSL, 111 main Street, Greensborough, VIC 3088.
