Saving the Earth, one nappy at a time
Parents and caregivers of babies in the Greensborough area might wish to attend a free workshop that enthuses about reusable nappies, which are now a sensible and convenient choice for families everywhere.
The Nappy Project is organising a Reusable Nappy Workshop, so that everyone can be informed of the options available to use as an alternative to disposable nappies.
Nappies can be detrimental to the Earth, as they sit in landfill for many years. Reusable nappies, however, are an environmentally friendly substitute.
They are no longer confined to the large terry squares that need to be folded and pinned, but are shaped and adjustable to fit all kinds of little bottoms. They are often brightly coloured or printed, and are designed to be easy to wash.
At the workshop, those attending will learn about the different types of nappies and how to fit and adjust them. They will also learn about how to wash them, along with all the health and environmental benefits, coupled with cost savings.
By meeting certain criteria and agreeing to provide feedback, attendees can walk away with some free nappies and accessories to try at home. Promotional products are often bundled together with useful instructions.
The Reusable Nappy Workshop takes place on Thursday 7th December, from 10.30am until midday. The location for the event is Diamond Valley Library, 34 Civic Drive in Greensborough.
