Greensborough to celebrate community wellbeing

The Mahalang Wellbeing Festival, hosted by Greensborough’s local council, the Banyule Council, will be taking place this October.

The festival is being held to celebrate wellbeing within the community. It will include activities that are interactive and will involve movement to promote health. As the event is family friendly, there will be a number of activities for children, such as the kids’ zone, which will consist of a large sandpit with water and clay play.

Children will also be able to visit the live petting zoo, attend kid-friendly yoga sessions, climb the Banyule District Scouts climbing tower, participate in slime workshops, make their own dreamcatchers and play soccer as part of the Melbourne City Football Club soccer clinics. Community events like this can benefit from flyer printing, with Flyers placed in mailboxes or in areas visited by lots of people to target a wide audience.

Attendees are encouraged to come to the event by bike, as there will be a workspace at the event to repair and provide maintenance for scooters and bicycles. This is where the Bike Hut team will be assisting those who are interested in learning about bicycle maintenance.

The Malahang Wellbeing Festival is free to attend, and it will be held on Sunday, 24th October. It will run from 10am to 4pm and will be located at the Malahang Reserve, at the corner of Southern Road and Oriel Road in Heidelberg.
