Creedence to be revived in Greensborough

Fans of the iconic American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival in the Greensborough district will probably be keen to appreciate the group’s Australian tribute band playing in August.

With an endorsement from the President of the CCR fanbase under their belt, Ramble Tamble: The Australian Creedence Show is sure to be a hit with Aussie fans of the celebrated rock legends.

CCR are probably one of the most iconic American rock bands of the last few decades. During their run, the band produced ten top ten singles and five top ten albums in the US.

Although the band members split in 1972, primary songwriter John Fogerty performs CCR songs as part of a solo act, whilst bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford perform as Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

A mixture of blues, rockabilly and New Orleans, with socially conscious lyrics, popular hits include “Bad Moon Rising”, “Proud Mary” and “Who’ll Stop The Rain”. When it comes to the tribute gig, poster printing, undertaken locally, is likely to attract the attention of CCR fans in the area.

Of the tribute band, Inpress Magazine has claimed:
“If you were to close your eyes, you would swear it was Creedence on stage.”

Ramble Tamble: The Australian Creedence Show takes place on Friday, August 4 at 8.30pm. The venue is Greensborough RSL, 111 Main Street, Greensborough. Tickets to the event cost $64.90; this include a two-course dinner, which will be served at 7pm.
