All Greensborough area community-minded citizens are invited to attend meetings set up by the city council to engage residents and inform them about aspects of biodiversity and challenges to it.
Biodiversity is concerned with every living thing, be that plants, animals, bacteria or fungi. Earth has a rich and varied biodiverse population, although it is important to be mindful of how man’s activities on a large and small scale can cause threats to some of these. At such meetings, councils may provide promotional Pens for the use of notetaking which are often printed with pertinent contact details.
Forward-thinking councils have to consider the biodiversity locally and try and ensure that as much can be maintained and allowed to thrive as possible, despite sometimes human activity disrupting this.
Banyule City Council is running two sessions to share its Biodiversity Plan and therefore welcomes interested local people and groups to attend and be part of the discussion. This may include discussing current threats to biodiversity, and how the council can help people to become engaged and interested in this very important topic.
The Community Biodiversity Engagement Session 1 takes place on Thursday, September 21, from 6pm until 8pm. Refreshments will be provided on the day during networking opportunities. It is necessary to book a free place. The meeting place is Level 4, Ibbott Room, 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough, Victoria.Get a Free Quote for Pens
