People with disability in Geelong are invited to gather for Having A Say, a national conference scheduled for January next year.
Back for its 25th year, this beloved annual event provides the opportunity for people with disabilities to shine, learn new skills, and show their capabilities and potential as presenters, volunteers, performers and advocates.
The conference is organised by VALID, a not-for-profit organisation led by people with disabilities and their families, and has a range of sponsors, including the Victorian Disability Worker Commission and Melba Support Services.
The three-day conference includes workshops, keynote presentations, performances, Come & Try activities, a disco and a talent show. It also features an expo, with the opportunity for attendees to browse exhibits and learn more about community access and support.

The Having a Say Conference begins on Tuesday, 28 January to Thursday, 30 January 2025, at Deakin University, Geelong Waterfront Campus, Geelong. The conference begins with an opening ceremony at 10:30 am on Tuesday, and concludes at 1:00 pm on Thursday with a closing ceremony.
