A popular venue in Geelong is preparing for one of the biggest events of its season, as the 2025 Ladbrokes Geelong Cup approaches.
Considered one of the most anticipated country race meetings in Victoria, the 2025 cup will have higher stakes than ever before, thanks to its new status as a Melbourne Cup Golden Ticket event. This makes it one of 10 events worldwide that guarantees its winner entry into the Melbourne Cup in November.
Celebrated as a public holiday by the City of Greater Geelong, the Geelong Cup brings the community together in celebration of everything from high-stakes horse racing, fashion, live music, and food and drink. Attendees can expect to mingle with the crowd to live music in-between races, compete to be best dressed in Fashions on the Field, grab a snack from local food trucks and hang around after the last race for an after party at the track, hosted by DJ John Course.
