Michelle Rose, who has been putting on the parties for young people aged between 13 and 16 for a while, can continue with the venture as long as the authorities are notified in good time. Advertised on social media and with flyer printing in the local area, the parties have proven very successful.
Rose started up her Forever Underage DJ's Festival venture as a means for entertaining her own daughter. She had been unable to find any entertainment suitable for her in the area, following an illness.
Tickets for the parties are generally priced between $10 and $15 for each guest, and some of the parties have catered for around 400 children.
Rose feels that her efforts are much needed in the local area, saying:
"I think I'm doing a really good service to the community.”
She also say it is safe and clean fun, as she says that her parties are alcohol free and have security supervision at all times.
An experienced party planner, Rose has previously organised weddings and feels the Forever Underage parties she now hosts are a great way for kids to socialise.
Now the teething issues experienced at some parties have been addressed, and the authorities and Rose will be working together, the party hosting can move forward. To mark the fact, Rose says she is already planning a 'major' party.
