Dog-themed day out scheduled for Braeside residents

Families and their furry friends living in the Braeside area will soon have the chance to get together for the nearby Chelsea Park Dog-a-Thon Family Day.

With a selection of food stalls, live entertainment, markets and competitions, there’s sure to be something for family members of all ages.

Kicking off at 10 am with the 20-minute Dog-a-Thon community walk, the day will also feature dog-friendly activities and competitions, with prizes up for grabs in multiple categories.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy the children’s games and activities, market stalls and food trucks from local vendors, as well as the live music and performances that are scheduled to take place throughout the day.

Ticket sales for the day will go towards The Lost Dogs Home charity, raising funds from the community to help rescue, care for and re-home local cats and dogs in need of medical attention, food and shelter.

Local businesses in the Braeside have the opportunity to sponsor the event, and be featured in the relevant promotion and signage, or host a market stall, engaging the community with their products and services. Community events like this are a great opportunity for local businesses to get in front of potential customers, often giving out free Promotional Products featuring the company’s Logo Design or contact information.

The Chelsea Park Dog-a-Thon Family Fun Day will take place at Chelsea Bicentennial Park, near Braeside, from 10 am – 3 pm on Sunday, March 30.
