Couples learn to bake pizzas in Braeside

Would-be bakers in the Braeside area can join a workshop as a couple and learn to ways to bake pizza dough, under the guidance of a pizza chef.

Melina Regnier, owner and Head Pizza chef from Regnier Cakes, will be helping local people to make pizza, including the obligatory tomato-based pizza sauce. The finished pizza can then be taken home for family and friends to try at home. Regnier Cakes has been in operation for fifteen years and is known for producing award-winning cakes.

An important aspect of pizza-making is learning how to stretch the dough like a professional. This ensures a puffy crust with an even base, and this will be an important demonstrable aspect of the lesson.

The teaching duration of the course is two hours, but participants are welcome to stay for an extra hour to practice what they have learned, accompanied by a drink and music.

The organisers of cooking events make often make use of local printing services in order to provide recipe leaflets for the attendees.

The Pizza Workshop is taking place on Sunday 15th February, from 1pm until 3pm. The venue is Events on Citrus, 1/21 Citrus Street, Braeside, Melbourne. A ticket for two people costs $175. No previous experience is required. Attendees can bring along their own alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks.
