Creatives urged to apply for new grants
Independent people within the creative industry in Braeside and across Victoria are being invited to apply for new grants made available by the State Government.
As part of the Creative Projects Fund, the aim of the grants is to support recipients to develop, market or launch new experiences, products and content.
Creative Industries Minister Steve Dimopoulos said the fund will assist in delivering fresh, new creative experiences and products for the benefit of all Victorians, adding:
Under the scheme, individual creatives, as well as creative micro-businesses or collectives, will have access to $5,000 to $20,000 in grants. The project covers a wide array of interests ranging from craft, music, dancing and writing to visual art, theatre and game development.
The list of projects eligible for the grants is extensive and could include the presentation of an exhibition or performance to new audiences, a video game launch and the writing and development of a new manuscript, to name a few. The project fund also provides dedicated streams for disabled, deaf and First Peoples creatives.
Poster printing campaigns have often been rolled out to advertise and spread awareness of many projects and performances within the creative industry.
Creative Projects Fund applications close on 11 August at 3pm, with the Disabled and Deaf stream closing on 18 August at 3pm.
