Chance to talk business comes round in Kingston

Business owners from Braeside can mingle with other industry leaders and hear from an inspirational speaker at the next Melbourne Business Awards South East Region Breakfast.

Next month’s speaker will be Les Twentyman, who will be discussing the state of youth in Australia.

Twentyman is a well-known campaigner for youth issues and has spent many years working with young people. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1994 and was named Victorian of the Year in 2006.

During his speech, Twentyman will touch on difficult subjects and how they affect young people, and will discuss how businesses might be affected and what they can do to help combat some of the issues youngsters face.

Around 100 people usually attend each breakfast, making them an ideal opportunity to meet business owners from across the city of Kingston. Participants should ensure their business card printing orders are complete in good time to help them create a professional impression.

Local companies can also nominate themselves for the business awards, which are announced at the final breakfast of the year in December. Last year, the award was won by Braeside-based Packaging company WrapCo.

The breakfast takes place on Friday, May 8 at Woodlands Golf Course in nearby Mordialloc, starting at 6.30 am. Places must be booked in advance through the Business Awards website.
