What's Happening in Braeside, VIC…

Chance to network over lunch for Braeside businesswomen

Female entrepreneurs from Braeside and around the City of Kingston are being invited to lunch with the mayor’s wife next month.

Angie Gledhill is hosting the Kingston Business Women’s Luncheon to enable female entrepreneurs from around the city to meet and build relationships with each other, as well as to raise money for a local charity.

Gledhill ran a successful business with her husband, current Kingston Mayor Councillor Geoff Gledhill, as well as raising four children.

She will be joined by guest speaker Kate Weiss, who founded Table of Plenty, a company that produces convenient but healthy food products.

Kate will talk about building a business while also coping with family pressures, which for her included having a daughter born with a disability, and will explain how companies can work with people with disabilities to help them learn new skills and build self-esteem.

Before attending the event, local company owners might like to think about making an order for new business card printing, to ensure they have a professional looking business card to hand out on the day.

During the lunch, a raffle will be held to raise money for the Kingston Charitable Fund, which gives grants to community groups.

The lunch takes place on Wednesday, June 17th from midday to 2pm at the Woodlands Golf Club in Mordialloc. Tickets can be reserved through the City of Kingston council website.
