Chance for marine sector businesses to network in Braeside
A Braeside business will be in the spotlight next month, with the Boating Industry Association of Victoria coming to the suburb for a meeting.
The Association will be holding its first Industry Breakfast Briefing for 2016 in Braeside, at the headquarters of Ronstan, which produces equipment for sailboats, including parts, clothing and other accessories.
The company was founded in 1953 and is now recognised as one of the three leading marine equipment producers in the world.
The guest speaker will be Ronstan’s managing director Alistair Murray, who first joined the company in 1976 as a sales representative. Murray will offer advice based on his company’s success aimed at businesses of all sizes, and there will also be updates about the industry and the association.
As well as the presentation, there will also be a tour of Ronstan’s facility and time for networking, so business cards are sure to be essential for the event.
Braeside is home to a number of marine sector companies, including engineers and boat builders.
Although the breakfast is being held by the Association, it is open to nonmembers and would be of interest to any local business owners within the marine sector, from small firms to larger manufacturers.
The breakfast will be held on Wednesday February 17 at the Ronstan head office. Places can be booked through the association’s website.
