Kids in Braeside are invited to attend two fun and educational children’s drawing workshops that are set to be held in January.
Alice Oehr, a designer and artist, will run the first workshop. She will demonstrate her love of pop art styling and her passion for depicting people, neighbourhood characters and cake in her workshop, along with her love of colour and patterns. Participants will be able to experiment with drawing animals and help Oehr draw a cake.
Kenny Pittock, a Melbourne-based artist, will run the second of the workshops. He employs a playful and fun approach and uses wordplay to depict common objects in his artworks, which include sculpture, ceramics and paintings.
In his workshop, children will have the opportunity to draw funny ice cream for animals, create some mischievous canine characters and design their very own dream cookery book cover.
Artists will often use bright and colourful poster printing when advertising upcoming events like this to children. Posters can be distributed in schools and sporting locations for maximum exposure.
The Alice Oehr workshop will be held on Thursday, January 7 from 11am to 12pm, and the Kenny Pittock workshop will be held on Friday, January 15 from 11am to 12pm. Both workshops will be held at the Frankston Library, Playne Street, Frankston. For more information, see the Eventbrite website.
