A business camp designed for girls aged 10 to 15 is coming soon to Melbourne.
Girls in Braeside who yearn to start their own business when they are older will be able to participate in an upcoming local event. Dubbed “Girls in Business Camp Melbourne 2023” the event will introduce girls who are between the ages of 10 and 15 to business.
The camp will allow girls attending to explore the basic principles of business including the types and Forms of business but also marketing, finance and strategy.
Every girl will be guided through the process of creating a business of her own by completing a range of different activities. These will include naming their business, creating a mission statement, designing Business Cards, creating a tagline or logo, developing a marketing plan, drawing up a finance plan complete with budget and creating a pitch aimed at investors.
After participants create their enterprise, every student CEO will then pitch to a group of their fellow pupils (representing investors) to receive funding to launch their start-up. Those participating who are Girl Scouts can earn a business plan, entrepreneur, or business owner badge.
