Preparations are well underway for the stage of this year’s Kingston Arts Makers Market.
The event which attracts stallholders and visitors from throughout the City of Kingston, including Braeside, is now into its 7th year.
According to event organisers, the 2015 Market is expected to break previous attendance records, which have reached in excess of 7,000 people who have flocked to Kingston to experience the showcase of creative, locally produced arts and crafts.
As in previous years, the Makers Market offers a full programme of events and activities, which include free arts/crafts workshops, children’s activities, live acoustic performances, gourmet food vendors, and its trademark creative goods.
Event preparations such as flyer printing and the finalisation of food, entertainment and stallholders are well advanced according to organisers, who said each year brought many new exhibits and art making experiences to be enjoyed by all who visited the major market event.
A Kingston Council spokesman said applications from stallholders closed on October 5.
Located on the corner of South Road and Nepean Highway in Moorabbin, the Kingston Arts Centre will host the 7th Annual Arts Makers Market on December 5, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Organisers said that holding the Market so close to Christmas was a great advantage for visitors, who would be able to fill their loved ones’ stockings with a range of stylish and unique gifts on offer at the market day.
