Multicultural market to take place near Tonsley

Those living in the Tonsley area can soon enjoy a day at an award-winning market.

The ARA (Australian Refugee Association) Souk Market in returning to the Tonsley Innovation District.

ARA began in 1975 and exists to help refugees settle in South Australia by providing practical support and advocacy, so that they can become part of a thriving and welcoming community.

Since winning the City of Marion Community Event of the Year in 2023, The Souk is recognised as being a rich multicultural event, bringing in thousands of visitors to enjoy the experience.

The venue will offer global street food and traders selling handcrafted goods. There will be live performances and music that showcase art and dance, all interspersed with immersive experiences and roving entertainers.

This year, The Souk will reportedly be bigger and better, with 30 countries to be represented by more than 100 stallholders. It is a family-friendly, all-weather event that will promote a celebratory day of community and culture.

Signage for events where numerous stalls are sited may be provided by local printing services.

The Souk 2026 is taking place on Saturday, 20 June, from 10 am until 6 pm. The venue is the Tonsley innovation District, 6 MAB Eastern Promenade, Clovelly Park. The event is free to attend, although a donation to ARA would be welcome.
